Late Blossom Blues Movie Screening - April 25th

Late Blossom Blues - Leo "Bud" Welch Documentary will be screened at the Arizona International Film Festival on Weds. April 25th, at 8:00 PM, at The Screening Room. Admission is $8 with a $2 discount for KXCI and SABHF members.  You must show your current membership card.

Born in 1932 in rural segregated Mississippi, Blues- and Gospel singer Leo "Bud" Welch had been a poor man all his life, working hard in the cotton fields and the woods. Until in 2013, after decades of missed opportunities and gigs in local Juke Joints and churches, a Gulf War veteran management rookie teams up with him to take the Blues World by storm. LATE BLOSSOM BLUES tells the incredible story of Welch's very late international success and his lighthearted take on life.

Tom Walbank will be opening the show in his Arizona Blues Hall of Fame style and grace.

If you are not already a member of The Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation please join us.  We offer both a General and a Family Membership.  Your membership enables us to work together to present and support the programs and music we love.
